Venue, accomodation and travel

Venue

EAPPC-BEAMS-EML 2024 will be held at the ‘Beurs van Berlage Conference Centre’, located in the heart of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is one of Europe's most iconic capitals. This former commodity exchange is one of the defining monuments of the Dutch Capital.

Amsterdam is the Netherlands' capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system an narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city's 17th-century Golden Age. With over 180 different nationalities it is a very tolerant, creative, free-spirited and multicultural city. 90% of Amsterdam residents speak English.

Transport to Amsterdam

Travelling to Amsterdam is usually quite easy, as it can be reached by air, land and even sea. Cheap flights from within Europe and direct flights from outside Europe are readily available, serving Amsterdam Airport Schiphol - Europe's fourth largest airport.

A direct link railway line connects Schiphol International Airport with Amsterdam Central Station, and is the fastest and most convenient form of transport to the city Centre. Alternatively you may take a taxi with destination Beurs van Berlage, address: Damrak 243, Amsterdam.

If you will be arriving by car we recommend parking at the Rai conference center and continuing your travels into the city by public transport. Upon scanning your public transport ticket you may receive a significant discount on your parking fee.

Transport in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a wonderfully walkable city, with most major sites in or near the city center, but with 15 tram lines, 50 buslines, 39 metro stations and 8 ferries there are also plenty of public transit options to get you around.

Please do note that driving is strongly discouraged within the city center.

We recommend making hotel reservations via our colleagues at the conference venue
